Hole 14 - Westward Ho!

Our very own Hogan's Alley. A strong par five, playing usually into the wind. We have Out of Bounds all the way down the left hand side of this 535 yard hole, gorse all the way down the right hand side and bunkers at the perfect driving distance. Long hitters can aim over the left hand bunker and be faced with a long iron downhill shot into the green. Most golfers should lay up short of these bunkers, hit a mid iron down the left hand side of the fairway and then have about 125 yards to the middle of the green. The green is a large, 27 foot long surface sloping from front left to back right. This becomes very fast in the summer months. With 11 bunkers, Out of Bounds and gorse this is a tough stroke index 8 hole. Perhaps a birdie opportunity with a courageous drive... but BEWARE.
