“Welcome!”

The first thing to say is that we are a very welcoming and friendly group of women here at Sandy Lodge.  You will always find someone to play with whether you are new to the game or someone who has played for many years.  On joining you will be introduced to other members and will soon feel at home amongst us, out on the course, catching up with practice, chatting in the bar or enjoying the view from our terrace after a round.

Handicaps range from those who have only recently started the game to those who play off single figures as well as all levels of ability in between.  Our more competitive members enjoy participating in the many club, county and scratch league matches whilst others enjoy the friendly matches against other Hertfordshire clubs.  Tuesday mornings the tees are reserved for both our qualifying competitions and a number of fun competitions which we run across the year. Thursday is roll up morning, a very popular session and another great opportunity to play with different people and enjoy a sociable drink or sandwich afterwards. 

At weekends there are a number of mixed Club competitions often starting with a light breakfast and ending up with an informal meal and drinks.  We also have annual matches against other sections within the club and a couple of very sociable but tightly fought matches against Sandy Lodge Artisans.
