Shop Coaching Who

Who

Jeff Pinsent, Head Golf Professional

A qualified PGA Professional for twenty years, Jeff Pinsent brought his extensive experience to Sandy Lodge in 1993. During his tenure, he has utilised his management abilities in the Pro Shop while developing a range of additional skills helpful to the Golf Club. He introduced a Junior Coaching programme while employing effective coaching techniques, including the use of video taping for swing analysis.

Jeff has been an active member of the Golf Committee, the Marketing Committee, and the Junior Committee, advising and implementing improvements to each. He set-up and manages a driving range at the Club, and was recently awarded the contract to redesign and remodel the course at Sandy Lodge, which was completed in September 2000. Jeff directs club competitions and processes their results, and he administers members' handicaps as well.

As a former member of the PGA European Tour, where he finished 6 tournaments in the top 20, Jeff brings a level of accomplishment and experience to the game that few people achieve. These and other fine qualities help him to further the level of golf of each of his pupils. Jeff is available for both group and individual tuition, and the benefits of his coaching are immediately realised.

Greg Smith, PGA Qualified Professional

Greg joined Sandy Lodge in 2006 after completing his apprenticeship at Denham Golf Club.

Greg enjoys playing with the members and looks after the Junior coaching at the club.

A popular figure with the members, Greg is building a solid reputation as a coach and player. Greg has represented Sandy Lodge in many tournaments, which has included some high finishes in regional tournaments.

Having fully qualified the PGA diploma in 2005, Greg has used both his knowledge of the golf swing and his Sport Science diploma to bring a modern outlook to his coaching.
